At OTC, 040 and 050 are classes offered for students who need additional practice before taking the standard freshman English composition course. This quote reminds us of (1) the importance of using the resources available to us in order to succeed and seeking help when we need it, (2) the impact of writing skills across the curriculum, and (3) the value that education can have on an individual’s earning potential and career opportunities.
